Working with the Phases of the Moon

I have had a love affair with Luna for as long as I can remember. It bring me great joy that this is something shared by my sons as well when I hear their sweet voices exclaim with excitement “Mama, look at the Moon!”

A powerful and recognizable feature in our sky- day or night, our Ancestors held this reverence and awe. They weren’t aware of its effect on tides, but they did notice its cycles and learn to work with it.

The Moon’s energy is present whether we choose to work with it or not. It represents our emotions, our connection to mothering. It’s placement in the sky can have a strong influence on our inner lives, and knowing where it lies in your Astrological birth chart can tell you a lot about yourself. Learning to identify where Full and New Moons occurs in your chart is a powerful practice.

This valuable information is something I want accessible to everyone, so I put together this information to bring insight to you:

New Moon

Set new intentions focusing on abundance- what do you want more of in your life?

Be clear, state it as it’s already happened, with gratitude.

“I am so thankful that I …”

Make a New Moon collage.

Waxing Crescent Moon

Visualize your intentions coming into reality.

Make a plan of action for goals/intentions made.

First Quarter Moon

Refresh your intentions and push forward to stay aligned with your purpose.

Waxing Gibbous Moon

Reflect on how your intentions are manifesting.

Are there any adjustments or fine tuning needed?

Full Moon

Celebrate your progress!

Reflect on what no longer serves you and release it.

Charge crystals and divination tools in moonlight.

Make Moon water.

Clean your house.

Waning Gibbous Moon

Continue to free up space to invite more of what you want into your life.

Give thanks to yourself and the helping energies for the changes being made.

Last Quarter Moon

Reflect on any changes needed to release more of what’s holding you back.

Waning Crescent Moon

Begin tuning inward to listen for guidance.

Journal, consult Oracle/Tarot cards, and use Divination tools to receive insight.

Full/New Moon Manifesting:
